At educonnect, our mission is to provide high-quality tutoring that is both culturally aware and academically effective. Backed by MIT, we support African diaspora families seeking educational services that reflect their values and high aspirations for academic excellence.
Founder & CEO
Our work is guided by Unyime Okorosobo, a third-generation educator with over 15 years of teaching experience. She holds a Master’s in Education from the University of Manchester and currently leads a school in Nigeria.
With more than six years of experience tutoring diaspora students, Unyime is known for her trusted reputation and results.
She plays a central role in setting our instructional standards and shaping our vision for student success.
All EDUConnect tutors are selected through a rigorous recruitment process and undergo structured training to ensure they meet the high standards our families expect. Each session is tailored to a student’s specific academic needs—whether it’s excelling in math, science, or English—and is designed to build both achievement and confidence inside and outside the classroom.
Our tutors are experienced, trained teachers based in Nigeria—deeply familiar with rigorous academic standards and culturally attuned to the needs of African diaspora students.
Our students not only improve their grades—they become more proactive, confident learners, with habits that drive long-term success in and out of the classroom.
We work closely with parents to create tailored learning plans, offering progress updates and recorded sessions that build trust and meet each family's unique goals.
